Do you have security?
Yes, we have security agents on site 24/7, as well as a CCTV camera system and resident access cards.
Do you have shared kitchens?
Yes, our residence has communal kitchens per floor, all equipped with stoves, ovens and microwaves.
I don’t have a roommate, so can you find one for me? How does it work?
If you don’t already have a roommate you’re signing with, we will match you with someone else randomly (always someone of the same gender).
How far are you from campus?
It depends on the university you choose to attend. We are walking distance from McGill University, Concordia University and ÉTS, and less than a 15-minute drive from the Université de Montréal (HEC, Polytechnique), UQAM, and LaSalle College.
What do I need to do to apply?
Complete a standard Quebec lease (all leasing documents can be sent to you by email), provide required documentation (ID, financial proof), pay the first month… and then move in!
What are your leasing terms?
Lease duration will depend on the season, but we normally require a minimum of 4 months (maximum 12 months). We sometimes accept shorter stays (minimum 1 month) upon availability.
What are your room types?
Our residence offers single and double occupancy, with several layout options.
What is included?
As a student tenant, the following is included with your furnished room: all utilities, wireless Internet, as well as access to the game room, gym, study rooms, pool, library, laundry room, common kitchens and lounges, etc.
Are guests allowed?
Yes they are! Speak with your Community Assistant or leasing consultant for more details.
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, no.
Is smoking permitted?
Smoking is not allowed in either private rooms nor shared spaces within the residence.
What are the accepted forms of payment?
We accept cash, cheques, debit and credit payment, as well as wire transfers.
What if I want to leave before the end of my lease, or want to cancel?
It’s important to note that once your leasing contract has been signed and First Month payment has been made, we cannot make cancellations nor reimbursements, and you remain responsible for the lease duration you signed for. Tenants who wish to end their lease early are encouraged to find themselves a Lease Transfer.
What does it mean to have an individual lease?
An individual lease means that, as a tenant, you are responsible for your portion of the bedroom. If your roommate ends up not coming back, you’re not responsible for their payment.
When is my rent due?
Rent is always due the 1st of every month.
Is there insurance coverage in the event of a fire, theft or natural causes?
Evo’s insurance does not cover your personal belongings. We strongly recommend getting renter’s insurance for this reason.
How do I receive mail and packages?
Your mail will be delivered to your mailbox. If you receive a package that doesn’t fit in the mailbox and does not require a signature, the desk will hold it for you. Make sure to always add your room number when ordering something, to avoid potential losses.
What if I need maintenance in my room?
If you need maintenance, simply notify a Community Assistant at the front desk and they will submit a request on your behalf.
What do I need to bring to my new apartment?
Linen for your type of bed, shower curtain, toiletries, dishes/cookware and decorations.
